On Saturday, September 26, drivers, teams, sponsors, families, and friends gathered in Wainwright, Alberta, for the 2026 MNP Canadian Super Truck Racing Series Championship Awards Banquet. Hosted at Grant Mills' Man Cave, the evening was a chance to recognize an incredible season of racing, celebrate our champions, and thank the many people who make the series possible.

As the series celebrated its 30th anniversary, there was plenty to look back on. From exciting racing in Saskatoon to trips to Hythe, Montana, and Prince George, 2026 brought memorable moments, great competition, and a few challenges along the way.

Recognizing Our Special Award Winners

Beyond the championship standings, the evening also recognized three individuals whose contributions and accomplishments stood out this season.

Mona Bletcher Award — Brian Sparks

While championships are won on the track, the success of the series also depends on the dedication of individuals who give their time and energy behind the scenes.

The Mona Bletcher Award is named in honour of Mona Bletcher, wife of series founder Dale Bletcher. Mona was a familiar and much-loved presence at the racetrack, attending races almost every weekend and always offering encouragement and support to the drivers. She earned the respect and affection of the racing community, and her dedication to the series continues to be remembered through this special award.

The award recognizes someone with a servant's heart — an individual who demonstrates significant leadership, dedication, and hard work in building and strengthening the MNP Canadian Super Truck Racing Series.

This year's recipient was #2 Brian Sparks of Edgerton, Alberta.

Brian's contributions reflect the spirit of the award and the importance of the people working behind the scenes to keep the series growing. Congratulations, Brian, and thank you for everything you do!

Most Improved Driver — Craig Keller

The 2026 Most Improved Driver Award went to #11 Craig Keller of Lacombe, Alberta.

This award recognizes Craig's growth, dedication, and development throughout the racing season. Congratulations, Craig, on a well-deserved recognition!

Rookie of the Year — Kayden Fraser

Congratulations to #18 Kayden Fraser of Williams Lake, British Columbia, our 2026 Rookie of the Year!

Joining a competitive series takes determination, and Kayden made his mark during his rookie season. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for this up-and-coming driver!

More Than Just Racing

While the awards were the highlight of the evening, the banquet was also a wonderful opportunity for everyone involved in the MNP Canadian Super Truck Racing Series to reconnect away from the racetrack.

Between the dinner, awards presentations, and silent auction, it was an evening of celebration and appreciation for the racing community that has supported the series for three decades.

A special thank-you goes to Grant Mills for hosting the banquet and everyone who helped organize and make the celebration possible.

We would also like to extend our appreciation to MNP, our major title sponsor, for providing the championship awards and for their continued support of the series.

Thank you as well to RIV Toy Box and YXE Auto for providing their respective points championship awards and for their contributions throughout the season.

We are also incredibly grateful to all our co-series sponsors and contingency partners for their financial support and contributions. Their generosity plays an important role in making the racing season possible, and we truly appreciate their continued commitment to the MNP Canadian Super Truck Racing Series.

And of course, thank you to our volunteers, drivers, crews, families, and fans. Your time, dedication, and enthusiasm are what make this racing community so special!

Looking Ahead to 2027!

With the 30th anniversary season officially wrapped up, we're already looking forward to what's next!

Major schedule and series announcements are coming for the 2027 MNP Canadian Super Truck Racing Series!

Whether you joined us at the track, helped behind the scenes, supported a driver, or cheered us on from home, thank you for being part of our 30th anniversary season. We couldn't do it without you!

Congratulations once again to all our champions and award recipients. Thank you for making 2026 a season to remember.

See you at the track in 2027!
