A Great Finish to the 2026 MNP Canadian Super Truck Season

The final race weekend of the 2026 Canadian Super Truck Racing Series got underway Friday with a Meet & Eat hosted by Webb’s Motors in Wainwright, before the series headed to Sutherland Automotive Speedway for the Points Final on Saturday.

It was a great way to wrap up a season that had more than its share of weather challenges, including two rainouts earlier in the year.

Meet & Eat Kicks Off the Weekend

Friday’s Meet & Eat brought drivers and trucks from the MNP Canadian Super Truck Racing Series together with the Wainwright community.

Thanks to everyone’s hard work, community support and generous donations, the event raised $755 for the Wainwright Food Bank, helping kick off the food drive as part of Ford’s largest food drive initiative.

• Garth Hazlehurst from the business development team, who helped pull the event together

Points Final at Sutherland Automotive Speedway

From there, it was on to Saskatoon for the final race day of the season. Saturday brought great weather, a full race program and one of the biggest crowds of the season at Sutherland Automotive Speedway.

The Riv Dash for Cash, which also served as the first heat race, went to series rookie #31 Josh Tissington. It was a memorable finish to his rookie season, picking up both the heat race win and the Riv Dash for Cash Trophy.

The first 50-lap feature was won by #14 Neil Fitzgerald.

The second 50-lap feature went to #67 Kyle O’Connell, bringing the final round of the YXE Auto Full Throttle 4 to a close.

A Big Weekend for Dave Vennard

The season finale also capped off a strong year for #7 Dave Vennard.

Vennard finished the season as the overall points winner in all three competitions:

2026 YXE Auto Full Throttle 4 Champion

The MNP title marked Vennard’s second series championship, while 2026 also brought his first YXE Auto Full Throttle 4 championship.

After a season of rainouts, schedule changes and close racing, finishing the year with good weather, a strong crowd and all three championships decided made for a fitting finale.
