Points Calculation Grid

A perfect night is worth 250 points. The fastest in qualifying time trials is awarded 50 points. Each position below goes down by two points (50, 48, 46, 44, etc). Qualifying results are used to create heats. If there are 12 or more trucks they are split into two heats, fast and slow. If there is an odd number of trucks, the extra truck goes into the slow heat. If there or 11 or fewer trucks, they run as one heat. Lineups are done using qualifying results, inverted with the slow to the front. For example, if 12 trucks, the fast heat is lined up 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and the slow heat is lined up 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7. Each truck runs two heat races. The trucks stay in their heat and race against the same trucks in the second heat race. The trucks are lined up for the second heat race using the results from the first heat race, fully inverted. If a truck runs less than 50% of the race laps they are started at the back for their second heat. Points for the heat races are 60 points to the winners, with each position below going down by two. 60, 58, 56, 54, etc. At the end of the second set of heat races, points earned that race are calculated and used to set the feature line up. A 50% inversion is used, so the trucks with the highest earned points for the day start in the middle of the field. For a 12 truck field the lineup would be: 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.
The winner of the feature race is awarded 80 points, with each position below dropping by two points. 80, 78, 76, 74, etc. So, a perfect night is 50 + 60 + 60 + 80, or 250 points. This compares to other local divisions all running on a 15/20 or 20/40 points grid, depending on registered car count.
